DarkSunn - “MINT EP” (2006)
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, DarkSunn began collecting and trying to understand artifacts from ancient civilizations that he encountered on his expeditions to various planets. Not all of them were easy to catalog, and some required prolonged experimentation and study until their function was understood.
In the last decade, DarkSunn has released its first reports on what is technologically and artistically possible when combining these ancient components into ever-developing formulas. First, in 2006 he revealed the essay "Fractal", and then in 2009 he made known to the world the entire instrumental track of the Robot Monster project, where he collaborated with music researchers Stray and Dj SlimCutz.
Now he is ready to publish his new creation, a study on the connection between communication and musicality in the context of the New Republic age on the planet "Mint". Little is known about this curious orb orbiting around a star that permanently radiates black light and which until now had been largely ignored by interplanetary historians.
But DarkSunn proposes to explain to us the language and codes that map emotion, celebration and artistic creation in this obscure corner of the Distant Galaxy. This treatise includes chapters on the importance of the material "vinyl" as a source of energy, of "sampling" technology as a driving force, and of their influence on the traditional forms and techniques of music production of their civilization.
